Website Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, the standard most Canadian public bodies work to. We are not claiming a certificate. We are telling you what was built and checked, so you can judge it yourself.

What we have built and tested

Keyboard

Every menu, filter, form, dialog and image gallery can be operated without a mouse. Menus open and close on Escape and return focus to the control that opened them. The page you are on is never a keyboard trap.

Screen readers and semantics

Each page has one main heading and a heading order that does not skip levels. Form fields have real labels, errors are announced rather than only coloured, and results that change without a page reload, such as filtering the inventory, are announced too.

Zoom and text size

Nothing on this site blocks pinch-to-zoom or text resizing. That sounds obvious. It is disabled on a great many websites, including some in this industry, and it fails the standard outright.

Contrast

Body text, labels and status badges were measured against the backgrounds they actually sit on, not against an ideal, and raised where they fell short.

Motion

If your system is set to reduce motion, the animations do not run and the background video does not autoplay. Content is never hidden behind an animation that has to finish first.

Without JavaScript

If scripts fail to load, or your browser is locked down and does not run them, the pages still render their text, their links, and the phone number and address in the footer. Sections do not stay invisible waiting for a script that never arrives. The list of vehicles on the inventory page is the one exception and it is named below.

What is still not right

Listing these is not an apology, it is a to-do list. If something here is blocking you, it moves up.

The vehicle list needs JavaScript

Every other page on this site can be read with scripts turned off. The list of vehicles on the inventory page cannot: the heading, the counts and the rest of the page arrive, but the vehicles themselves are drawn by a script. If that is your situation, phone us and we will tell you exactly what is on the lot, or email us and we will send the list.

Vehicle photography

Alternative text on vehicle photos describes the vehicle and its conversion. It does not yet describe every detail of every image, and some vehicles are waiting on new photographs.

The fit checker is a starting point

The measurements tool compares your figures against published dimensions for the conversion we build. It is not a clinical assessment and it cannot account for your seating, posture or how you transfer. It never says no. It says come and measure with us.

Documents from other companies

Some equipment specifications are published by the manufacturers as PDFs. We do not control how accessible those files are. Ask us and we will read you the numbers or send them in another format.

Not independently audited

This site was built and tested against WCAG 2.2 AA by the team that made it. It has not been through a third-party accessibility audit or been tested by a panel of disabled users. We would rather say that plainly than imply a certification we do not hold.

If this website gets in your way

Tell us and we will fix it, and in the meantime we will just do the thing for you. You should never have to fight a web page to buy a vehicle from us.
