Side entryA ramp folds out of the passenger side onto the kerb. The floor is lowered between the front and rear wheels, so the chair rolls in level and can sit in either front position, including behind the wheel.

How you get in

Side door, ramp out of the floor, lowered floor.

  1. 01The side door opens to its full width.
  2. 02The suspension kneels and the van drops toward the curb.
  3. 03The ramp slides out from under the floor. Powered on most builds, manual on others.
  4. 04You roll up onto the lowered floor, and the ramp slides away underneath.

Is this the one?

You drive it, or you ride up front. That's what you're paying for.

Right for you if

  • You intend to drive. The front seats come out so the chair secures at the driver's station.
  • You want to ride beside the driver and hold a conversation.
  • You load at a curb, where kneeling suspension keeps the ramp shallow.
  • You use a heavy power chair and ramp angle is what decides it.

What it costs you

  • Clearance beside the van. A tight parallel spot or a narrow garage blocks the ramp.
  • A powered ramp and kneeling suspension are more to maintain. That's why manual in-floor versions still exist.
  • It generally costs more than rear entry.
